About Jennifer Taylor Home Jennifer Taylor Home is a leading designer, manufacturer, importer, and global distributor of upholstered home furnishings. We are growing our finance team in India and are looking for a smart, detail-oriented, and motivated Junior AP & AR Specialist to join our Whitefield office.
This is a strong opportunity for an early-career finance professional who wants to build practical experience in a global business environment. In this role, you will work closely with both India and U.S. teams and gain hands-on exposure to day-to-day accounting operations, reporting, reconciliations, and cross-functional finance support.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
· Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
· Verify invoice details and reconcile vendor statements.
· Support payment processing and vendor account follow-up.
· Help investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies.
· Maintain organized AP records and supporting documents.
· Reconcile company credit card transactions and assign correct GL codes.
· Assist with month-end close activities and reconciliations.
· Review financial and transaction data carefully to identify errors, mismatches, or unusual items.
Accounts Receivable
· Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
· Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
· Assist in resolving billing discrepancies and payment issues.
· Record incoming payments and maintain accurate AR records.
· Prepare AR aging and payment reports for management review.
· Support internal teams with deductions, chargebacks, and payment inquiries.
· Assist with month-end close activities related to receivables.
· Analyze account activity and data trends to support accurate reporting and collections follow-up.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
· 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, AP, or AR.
· Good understanding of basic accounting processes, reconciliations, and financial records.
· Strong Excel skills, including working with formulas, spreadsheets, reports, and data analysis.
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to review data, identify discrepancies, and support problem-solving.
· Good computer skills and confidence working with systems, reports, and large amounts of data.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Good communication and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
· Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
· Experience in e-commerce, trading, import/export, or product-based businesses is a plus.
