Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Accountant with 5+ years of relevant experience to manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST compliance, MIS reporting, and hands-on experience with Tally.

Responsibilities

• Record and process journal entries accurately

• Manage accounts receivable and prepare invoices

• Handle accounts payable and perform reconciliations

• Manage GST-related tasks including GST returns, reconciliations, and compliance

• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports

• Review expenses, payroll records, and other financial data

• Maintain accurate financial data in Tally

• Prepare MIS reports as required by management

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities

• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

• Communicate with vendors to resolve billing and GST-related issues

• Assist with audits and statutory filings

• Mentor or support junior accounting staff, if applicable

• Perform other accounting tasks as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm environment

• Strong knowledge of GST laws, filings, and compliance

• In-depth understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Proficient in Tally and MS Office

• Experience in preparing MIS reports and analyzing financial data

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality
