We are looking for a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the full spectrum of accounting activities, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, GST filing, TDS, and statutory compliances. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Indian tax laws and hands-on experience with accounting software.
Key Responsibilities: General Accounting Duties:
Maintain day-to-day accounting records and ensure proper classification of accounts.
Prepare and post journal entries, manage general ledger, and ensure trial balance accuracy.
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of accounts.
Prepare and analyze financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Perform bank reconciliations and other ledger reconciliations (vendors, customers, advances).
Manage accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and invoicing.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records.
Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
GST Compliance (India):
Prepare and file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C returns within deadlines.
Handle reconciliation of GSTR-2B with purchase register and ITC adjustments.
Manage input tax credit (ITC) claims, reverse charge mechanism (RCM), and classification of GST rates.
Generate and reconcile e-invoices and e-way bills as per government regulations.
Liaise with vendors for GST compliance issues.
Handle GST audits, assessments, and queries from the GST department.
Keep up to date with GST law amendments and changes in compliance requirements.
TDS, Income Tax & Other Statutory Compliances:
Deduct, deposit, and file TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q) as per Income Tax Act.
Issue TDS certificates (Form 16, Form 16A).
Ensure timely advance tax payments and track tax liabilities.
Handle professional tax, PF, ESI, and labour welfare fund compliances.
Support in preparation and filing of Form 3CD, 3CEB, Form 26AS reconciliations as required.
Assist with Income Tax assessments, scrutiny, and notices.
Reporting & Audit:
Prepare regular financial and tax reports for management.
Assist with internal, statutory, and tax audits by preparing audit schedules and documentation.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government departments.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Accounting (B.Com, M.Com).
Minimum 3–6 years of relevant accounting and tax experience.
Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
Proficiency in Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime, Zoho Books, SAP, or other ERP systems.
Advanced knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, MIS reports).
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
