We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to lead our finance department’s core operations. You will be responsible for the end-to-end financial health of the organization, from maintaining pristine ledgers in Tally to finalizing Balance Sheets and ensuring 100% compliance with GST, TDS, and Income Tax regulations. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who can provide actionable financial insights to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Finalization: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including Profit & Loss accounts, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
Taxation & Compliance: Independently handle all statutory compliances, including GST (GSTR-1, 3B, 9/9C), TDS/TCS return filings, and Income Tax assessments. Manage reconciliations between books and portal data (2A/2B).
Audit Management: Coordinate internal and external audits. Prepare all necessary audit schedules, documentation, and act as the primary liaison for auditors.
Banking & Treasury: Manage daily cash flow, bank reconciliations, and vendor/customer aging reports. Oversee banking transactions like RTGS, NEFT, and LC/BG management.
Budgeting & Analysis: Assist in preparing annual budgets and monthly variance reports (Budget vs. Actual). Perform cost analysis to identify savings and improve profitability.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accountants. Review their journal entries, ledger maintenance, and bookkeeping tasks to ensure accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 6+ years of progressive experience in core accounting and taxation.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce (b.com). CA (Inter) or CMA (Inter) is highly preferred.
Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Tally Prime/ERP 9 and Advanced MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Macros). Familiarity with ERPs like SAP or Oracle is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of Indian Accounting Standards, GST laws, and the Companies Act.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to present financial data to stakeholders
