Accountant – Job Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions.
Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare and process invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations.
Record and verify financial data in accounting software.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.
Reconcile ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Monitor cash flow and maintain proper financial controls.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Prepare payroll data and coordinate salary processing when required.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
Coordinate with banks, vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters.
Assist management in financial analysis and decision-making.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (such as Tally, Busy, Zoho Books, or ERP systems).
Good understanding of GST, TDS, and taxation regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and organizational skills.
