# Job Description: Accountant

**Job Title:** Accountant

**Job Summary:**

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and support the company's financial operations. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills and a good understanding of accounting principles.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger accounts.

* Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

* Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.

* Reconcile bank statements and company accounts.

* Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

* Conduct financial analysis and prepare management reports.

* Monitor cash flow and maintain proper financial controls.

* Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

* Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.

**Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

* Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.

* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

* Proficiency in accounting software (such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.

* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

* Good communication and interpersonal skills.

**Preferred Skills:**

* Professional certification Bcom

* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

* Knowledge of GST, VAT, payroll processing, and tax compliance (as applicable).
