Responsibilities:

  1. Bookkeeping and Accounting:

    • Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, in accounting software or spreadsheets.

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers, journals, and financial records for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.

    • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy.

  2. Invoicing and Billing:

    • Generate and send invoices to customers for vehicle sales, service repairs, parts sales, and other dealership transactions.

    • Verify invoice details, pricing, and terms against sales orders, purchase orders, and service agreements.

    • Follow up on overdue payments, resolve billing discrepancies, and coordinate with customers and internal departments to ensure timely payment processing.

  3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    • Process accounts payable invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments in accordance with payment terms and budgetary guidelines.

    • Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, follow up on outstanding receivables, and reconcile customer accounts as needed.

    • Prepare and distribute customer statements, reminders, and collection notices to facilitate payment reconciliation.

  4. Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

    • Analyze financial data, trends, and variances to identify areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and revenue enhancement strategies.

    • Present financial reports and analysis to management, stakeholders, and external auditors as required.

  5. Tax Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, filing deadlines, and reporting requirements for federal, state, and local taxes.

    • Assist in preparing and filing tax returns, including sales tax, payroll tax, and income tax filings.

    • Maintain organized tax records, documentation, and supporting schedules for audits and inquiries.

  6. Purchase and Sale Entry for GST Statement:

o   Record purchase invoices, input tax credit (ITC), and tax payments accurately to ensure compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations.

o   Document sales transactions, including taxable value, GST rates, and tax collected, to prepare GST returns and statements.

o   Reconcile GST input tax credit (ITC) with purchase invoices and output tax liability with sales invoices to maintain accurate GST records.

o   Prepare and file GST returns, including GSTR-1 (Outward Supplies) and GSTR-3B (Monthly Summary Return), within prescribed deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the automobile industry.

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Peachtree, or SAP.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with colleagues and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.
