Job Description: Accountant

Company: Advitya Healthcares Pvt. Ltd.

Location: Kasba, Kolkata

Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month (Commensurate with experience)

Experience: 1–4 years

Industry Preference: Healthcare / Hospital / Diagnostic Center

Role Objective

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will handle everything from bookkeeping and vendor payments to hospital-specific billing and statutory compliance, ensuring the financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Day-to-Day Accounting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts (General Ledger, Sales, Purchases, Cash/Bank books) using Tally Prime or hospital ERP software.

• Hospital Billing & Revenue: Oversee IPD/OPD billing, track cash collections, and reconcile daily pharmacy/diagnostic revenue.

• Payable Management: Manage vendor invoices, track medical supply purchases, and process timely payments to suppliers and consultants.

• Doctor Payouts: Calculate and manage monthly doctor incentives and visiting consultant fees.

• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliation and manage petty cash for hospital operations.

• Statutory Compliance: Assist in the timely filing of GST, TDS, and Professional Tax (PT). Ensure compliance with PF and ESI for hospital staff.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow reports for management review.

• Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors for year-end closing and tax audits.

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: B.Com / M.Com or equivalent degree in Finance/Accounting.

• Technical Skills: Expert knowledge of Tally Prime, MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and GST portals.

• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with hospital-specific accounting, including TPA (Insurance) billing processes and medical inventory management.

• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, high level of integrity, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred Attributes

• Candidates residing in or near Kasba/South Kolkata are preferred.

• Prior experience working in a Hospital or Nursing Home is highly desirable.
