Summary:
A Massage Therapist is responsible for providing professional, therapeutic, and relaxing body treatments to clients. The role involves assessing client needs, delivering customized massage services, and maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment.
Perform a variety of massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, hot stone, sports massage, or other modalities as trained/certified.
Conduct client consultations to understand medical history, problem areas, and treatment goals.
Recommend appropriate massage services and wellness plans based on client needs.
Maintain accurate client records and ensure confidentiality.
Ensure the treatment room is clean, sanitized, and well-stocked before and after each session.
Adhere to all safety, hygiene, and professional standards.
Provide excellent customer service to ensure client comfort, satisfaction, and repeat business.
Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and continuing education requirements.
Collaborate with other wellness practitioners or team members when necessary.
Certified/ licensed Massage Therapist (as per local regulatory requirements).
Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage modalities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism and client boundaries at all times.
Physically fit and able to perform massages for extended periods.
Strong customer service orientation.
Experience working in a spa, wellness center, clinic, or hospitality environment.
Additional certifications (e.g., aromatherapy, reflexology, prenatal massage).
Knowledge of wellness products and ability to make recommendations.
