A Panchakarma Therapist is responsible for performing Ayurvedic therapies and Panchakarma procedures under the guidance of an Ayurvedic doctor. The therapist ensures proper preparation, execution, and hygiene during treatments to support patient healing and wellness.
Key Responsibilities
Perform Panchakarma therapies such as:
Abhyanga (Oil massage)
Shirodhara
Basti
Swedana (Steam therapy)
Pizhichil
Udvartana
Nasya therapy
Prepare treatment rooms, oils, herbs, and equipment before therapy.
Assist the Ayurvedic doctor during Panchakarma procedures when required.
Maintain proper hygiene and cleanliness of therapy rooms and equipment.
Ensure patient comfort and safety during treatment.
Explain basic therapy procedures and precautions to patients.
Maintain therapy records and treatment details.
Follow clinic protocols and safety standards.
Handle and store Ayurvedic oils, medicines, and equipment properly.
Support patients with post-therapy instructions as advised by the Dr
