The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. This role involves monitoring premises, preventing unauthorized access, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain order and establish a security presence.
Guard entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized access.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure security and safety standards are maintained.
Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or suspicious activities.
Detain or escort trespassers or violators off the property as directed.
Write detailed incident reports and maintain daily activity logs.
Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with security-related concerns.
Enforce company policies and procedures related to safety and security.
Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency personnel, and management when necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Proven experience as a security guard or similar role preferred.
Valid security guard license or certification (as required by local regulations).
Strong observation and communication skills.
Physically fit; able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Basic knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
Basic computer literacy for report writing and surveillance system operation.
Clean criminal record.
Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Both indoor and outdoor duties depending on the site.
May involve long hours of standing, walking, or patrolling.
