Security Guard

Key Responsibilities

1. Main Gate Security & Access Control

• Check and verify entry/exit of:

  • Employees

  • Labourers

  • Drivers

  • Visitors

  • Vendors

• Maintain visitor register and vehicle entry records.

• Ensure all persons wear valid ID cards and PPE before entry.

2. Vehicle Checking & Material Movement

• Monitor incoming and outgoing vehicles.

• Verify delivery challans, gate passes, invoices, and dispatch documents.

• Prevent unauthorized material movement.

• Conduct proper checking/frisking of vehicles and manpower at gate points.

3. Frisking & Theft Prevention

• Conduct strict frisking of workers during exit.

• Prevent theft, pilferage, stock tampering, and unauthorized product consumption.

• Immediately report suspicious activities to warehouse management.

4. Cold Storage Area Monitoring

• Ensure restricted access inside cold storage chambers.

• Prevent unnecessary movement in temperature-controlled areas.

• Monitor safety practices inside freezer/chiller zones.

5. CCTV Monitoring

• Observe CCTV cameras continuously.

• Report unusual movements, unauthorized access, or safety violations.

• Maintain CCTV observation records if required.

6. Fire & Safety Responsibilities

• Monitor fire extinguishers and emergency exits.

• Ensure no smoking or prohibited activities inside warehouse premises.

• Respond immediately during emergencies such as:

  • Fire

  • Gas leakage

  • Accident

  • Medical emergency

7. Discipline & Shift Monitoring

• Maintain discipline among workers and drivers.

• Ensure no sleeping on duty.

• Monitor shift change properly and handover duties to next guard.

8. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain:

  • Visitor Register

  • Vehicle Register

  • Material Inward/Outward Register

  • Incident Report Register

  • Night Patrolling Register

• Submit daily security report to supervisor/management.

9. Patrolling Duties

• Conduct regular patrolling of:

  • Warehouse area

  • Loading/unloading points

  • Parking area

  • Boundary wall

  • DG/utility area

• Identify any safety or security risk immediately.

10. Coordination with Warehouse Team

• Coordinate with:

  • Warehouse Manager

  • Dispatch Team

  • Transporters

  • Supervisors

  • Security Head

• Support smooth logistics operations without disturbance.

• It is a Full Time Security Guard job for candidates with 0 - 6+ years Experience.
