We are seeking a vigilant, reliable, and professional Security Guard to join our team. The primary goal of this position is to ensure the safety and security of our personnel, visitors, and property. The ideal candidate will possess excellent observation skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, and the ability to proactively identify and mitigate security risks.
Key Responsibilities
Patrol Premises: Regularly patrol the interior and exterior of the premises on foot or via vehicle to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, or illegal activity.
Access Control: Monitor entrance/exit points, verify identification, check badges, and maintain visitor logs to ensure only authorized personnel enter the building.
Surveillance: Monitor and operate CCTV cameras, security systems, and alarm panels to detect unusual activity or potential threats.
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, medical incidents, or disturbances,, ensuring safety protocols are followed and contacting law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
Incident Reporting: Prepare detailed, accurate daily activity reports and incident reports for management.
Safety Enforcement: Ensure compliance with all safety policies, building regulations, and fire safety protocols.
Customer Service: Provide professional assistance, directions, and a welcoming presence to employees and visitors.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred.
Licensing: Valid state-issued security guard license/card (if required by local law).
Skills:
Strong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and composed during emergencies or high-pressure situations.
Basic computer skills for operating surveillance software and writing reports.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, climb stairs, and work in varied weather conditions.
Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
Flexibility: Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
First Aid/CPR/AED Certification.
