TEMPLE SECURITY SERVICE – JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Security Guard / Security Supervisor
Job Purpose:
To provide professional security, safety, crowd management, access control, and protection of devotees, temple premises, assets, and staff while maintaining discipline and a respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Main gate security and access control.
- Monitor entry and exit of devotees, visitors, vendors, and staff.
- Crowd management during normal days, festivals, special poojas, and VIP visits.
- Maintain orderly queues and prevent unauthorized entry.
- Conduct security checks as per temple security procedures.
- Monitor parking areas and regulate vehicle movement.
- Protect temple property, valuables, equipment, and other assets.
- Maintain visitor, vehicle, material inward/outward, and incident registers.
- Monitor CCTV cameras and immediately report suspicious activities.
- Prevent theft, unauthorized photography/activities, and security violations as instructed.
- Assist elderly persons, children, women, and devotees whenever required.
- Support emergency response during fire, medical emergencies, accidents, or other incidents.
- Coordinate with temple management, police, fire services, and emergency agencies when required.
- Conduct regular patrols of the temple premises, parking areas, corridors, and restricted zones.
- Prepare daily security reports and immediately escalate serious incidents to the Security Supervisor/Temple Management.
- Maintain professional discipline, proper uniform, grooming, punctuality, and courteous behaviour at all times.

Required Qualities
- Good communication and observation skills.
- Physically fit and mentally alert.
- Disciplined and responsible.
- Polite and respectful towards devotees.
- Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and festival days.
- Previous security experience preferred.
- Ex-servicemen and trained security personnel may be preferred.
