A Security Guard is responsible for protecting people, property, and assets by maintaining a safe and secure environment. They monitor premises, prevent theft, violence, or rule violations, and respond to emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and patrol assigned areas regularly
Control access to buildings and check identification
Observe and report suspicious activities or incidents
Respond quickly to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances
Write detailed daily reports of activities and incidents
Ensure safety procedures are followed
Assist visitors and provide directions when needed
Work with law enforcement or emergency services when required
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a security guard (preferred but not always required)
Basic knowledge of security operations and procedures
Good communication and observation skills
Ability to stay calm and act quickly in emergencies
Physically fit and able to stand or patrol for long periods
Security license or certification (if required by law)
