Job Summary

The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the premises, staff, visitors, and company assets. The role includes monitoring entry/exit, patrolling the premises, reporting suspicious activity, and maintaining discipline and order.

Key Responsibilities

·        Monitor entry and exit of employees, visitors, and vehicles.

·        Check ID cards, visitor passes, and maintain visitor logbooks.

·        Allow only authorized persons to enter the premises.

·        Keep watch over CCTV camera feeds (if applicable).

·        Conduct regular patrols of the building, warehouse, parking, and surrounding areas.

·        Identify and report any suspicious activity immediately.

·        Ensure the safety of company property, equipment, and inventory.

·        Check doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are properly locked.

·        Prevent theft, damage, and unauthorized access.

·        Respond quickly to emergencies such as fire, theft, accidents, or medical needs.

·        Follow the company’s emergency protocols.

·        Assist in evacuation and coordinate with management and emergency services.

·        Maintain daily security logs, visitor records, and incident reports.

·        Inform supervisors about any irregularities, safety hazards, or equipment malfunction.

·        Ensure rules and regulations are followed within the premises.

·        Manage crowd or visitor movement when required.

Skills Required

·        Good physical fitness.

·        Basic reading and writing skills for record-keeping

·        Prior experience in security (office, warehouse, hospital, retail, or residential).

·        Trained in fire safety or basic emergency response

·        Alertness & attention to detail

·        Honesty and integrity

·        Discipline

·        Polite communication

·        Ability to handle pressure

·        Quick response skills
