Job Description

A security guard protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance systems, and controlling access points. They prevent theft, violence, and infractions of rules, while responding to emergencies and submitting detailed reports. Key duties include monitoring, patrolling, reporting, and enforcing safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

Patrolling: Regularly inspect, on foot or by vehicle, the premises (doors, windows, gates) to prevent unauthorized access or safety hazards.
Access Control: Monitor entrances, check IDs, and ensure employees, visitors, and contractors sign in and out.
Monitoring Systems:
Operate, monitor, and maintain surveillance cameras (CCTV) and alarm systems.
Incident Response: Act as first responders during emergencies (fires, security threats, medical issues), ensuring safety and contacting law enforcement when necessary.
Reporting: Create detailed incident reports and daily logs of observations and actions taken.
