Role Overview
The Holiday Sales Expert is responsible for driving revenue by selling customized domestic and international holiday packages. This role requires strong destination knowledge, consultative selling skills, and the ability to curate memorable travel experiences based on customer preferences, budgets, and travel goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about travel, target-driven, and experienced in designing end-toend holiday solutions including flights, hotels, visas, insurance, sightseeing, and transfers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Revenue Generation
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for domestic and international holiday packages.
Convert inbound leads (walk-ins, calls, website inquiries) into confirmed bookings.
Generate new business through referrals and repeat clients.
Upsell add-ons such as travel insurance, visa assistance, excursions, upgrades, and special experiences.
2. Travel Consultation & Itinerary Planning
Understand client preferences (budget, travel style, duration, visa requirements).
Design customized itineraries for domestic and international destinations.
Provide expert advice on destinations, seasons, visa norms, documentation, and travel regulations.
Offer recommendations on trending destinations (e.g., Southeast Asia, Europe, Middle East, Maldives, domestic luxury stays, etc.).
Ensure accuracy in pricing, costing, and margins.
3. Booking & Coordination
Coordinate with DMCs, airlines, hotels, and suppliers for confirmations and special requests.
Process bookings through GDS/online travel systems.
Manage documentation including visas, travel insurance, and vouchers.
Ensure seamless handover to operations team post-confirmation.
4. Customer Relationship Management
Maintain strong relationships with repeat and premium clients.
Handle pre- and post-sales queries professionally.
Address customer concerns and resolve service issues promptly.
Collect feedback and drive positive reviews.
5. Market & Product Knowledge
Stay updated on global travel trends, visa policies, airline updates, and seasonal offers.
Participate in training sessions, destination webinars, and FAM trips.
Maintain strong knowledge of domestic circuits, international packages, cruises, luxury holidays, and group departures.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
2–5 years of experience in holiday sales (domestic & international).
Strong knowledge of global destinations and travel documentation.
Experience with CRM systems and booking tools (GDS knowledge preferred). Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
