Job Description

Loan Sales professional (often a Loan Officer or Sales Manager) drives revenue by acquiring new borrowers and guiding them through the lending process. They identify client needs, promote tailored financial products, gather documentation, and facilitate loan approval, all while meeting strict sales targets and regulatory compliance requirements.Core ResponsibilitiesLead Generation & Prospecting: Source new borrowers through cold calling, field marketing, networking, and partnering with DSAs (Direct Sales Associates) or local businesses.Financial Assessment: Analyze client profiles, review credit reports (e.g., CIBIL scores), and evaluate debt-to-income ratios to determine financial eligibility.Product Education: Guide clients through various loan options (e.g., home loans, personal loans, or loans against property), explaining interest rates, terms, and repayment plans.Documentation & Processing: Oversee the loan cycle from initial application to final disbursement, ensuring all required legal and financial documents are verified.Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to offer complementary financial products like life/general insurance, credit cards, or fixed deposits.Key Qualifications & SkillsExperience: Typically 0 to 3+ years of experience in sales, telemarketing, banking, or the financial services sector.Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or HSC; a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or economics is heavily preferred.Interpersonal Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and persuasion skills to build trust and rapport with prospective clients.Technical Knowledge: Understanding of local financial markets, lending regulations, and competency with CRM software or loan processing platforms.Common Roles & ResourcesRoles are frequently categorized by loan type or distribution channel.
