Role Overview
The Technical Sales Executive will be responsible for promoting and selling technical products/solutions, generating leads, understanding customer technical requirements, coordinating with internal technical teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving business targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Sales & Lead Generation
Identify and approach prospective clients through calls, visits, and digital platforms.
Understand customer technical requirements and suggest suitable products/solutions.
Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions.
Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and specifications.
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
2. Client Relationship Management
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and consultants.
Provide pre-sales technical support and post-sales coordination.
Handle technical queries and ensure timely resolution.
3. Site Visit & Technical Support
Visit client sites for requirement analysis and product explanation.
Coordinate with service/installation team for project execution.
Assist customers during installation and commissioning when required.
4. Sales Reporting & Documentation
Maintain records of leads, inquiries, technical discussions, and sales activities.
Update CRM/internal tracking system regularly.
Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to management.
5. Cross-Department Coordination
Coordinate with production, operations, accounts, and service teams.
Ensure proper handover of project details and client expectations.
6. Payment & Collection Follow-Up
Follow up with customers for payments and documentation.
Support accounts team in reducing outstanding payments.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
1–3 years of experience in Technical Sales / Industrial Sales (Fresher’s can apply)
Strong technical understanding and problem-solving ability
Good communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and achieve targets
Basic knowledge of MS Office, CRM tools, and digital platforms
