Sales Executive / Floor Executive – Retail Supermarket

Reporting To: Store Manager / Floor Supervisor
Job Summary
We are looking for a Sales Executive / Floor Executive to provide excellent customer service and support daily store operations. The role involves assisting customers, maintaining product availability on shelves, promoting store offers, and ensuring the store is clean and well organized.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Greet customers and assist them in locating products.
Provide information on product features, brands, and pricing.
Suggest complementary products to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
Assist customers with bulk purchases when required.
Shelf & Stock Management
Ensure shelves are fully stocked and products are properly arranged.
Follow FIFO (First In First Out) for product rotation.
Remove expired or damaged products immediately.
Merchandising
Arrange products according to store category and planogram.
Ensure correct price tags and labels are displayed.
Highlight promotional and high-margin products.
Sales Promotion
Inform customers about discounts, combo offers, and seasonal promotions.
Encourage purchase of store private label products where applicable.
Inventory & Stock Monitoring
Monitor fast-moving products and report low stock to supervisors.
Assist in stock receiving, shelf replenishment, and stock audits.
Store Maintenance
Maintain clean shelves, racks, and aisles.
Ensure product displays are neat and visually appealing.
Billing Support
Guide customers to billing counters.
Assist during peak hours with packing and queue management.
Skills Required
Good communication and customer service skills
Basic product knowledge
Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Basic math and counting skills
Preferred Experience
1–2 years experience in supermarket or retail sales
Freshers with good communication skills may also apply
