Job Summary:
The Sales Representative – Chemical Sales is responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing customer accounts, and achieving sales targets for chemical products. The role involves understanding customer requirements, promoting products, providing technical assistance, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction while driving revenue growth.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the chemical industry.
Visit potential and existing customers to promote and sell chemical products.
Generate inquiries and follow up until successful order conversion.
Achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by management.
Prepare and deliver product presentations to clients.
Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain healthy relationships with customers.
Understand client needs and recommend appropriate chemical products.
Provide timely responses to customer queries, quotations, and order-related issues.
Ensure high customer satisfaction and post-sales support.
Technical & Product Knowledge
Maintain strong understanding of product specifications, applications, and industry trends.
Provide technical assistance to customers when required.
Coordinate with the technical/production team for product-related clarifications.
Quotation & Negotiation
Prepare accurate quotations based on customer requirements.
Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery conditions to close sales deals.
Ensure compliance with company pricing policies.
Order Management & Coordination
Coordinate with logistics, supply chain, and accounts teams for smooth order execution.
Follow up on dispatch schedules, delivery timelines, and payment collections.
Maintain records of sales orders, invoices, and customer interactions.
Coordinate with the vendors or their technical team for product-related clarifications.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
Maintain up-to-date customer database and visit logs.
Provide market feedback regarding competitors, pricing, and new product demands.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
B.Tech (Chemical) / B.Sc Chemistry or Any stream
0–1 years of experience in technical or chemical sales (freshers can apply)
Energetic, target-oriented, and customer-focused
