Job Description

Job Title: New Store Opening (NSO) Executive

Department: Retail Operations / Expansion
Reports To: Head of Department (HOD)
Location: Pan-India (Travel as per store launch locations)
Job Type: Full-time


Job Purpose:

The NSO Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end activities related to the setup, branding, staffing, stocking, and marketing of new store launches. This role ensures that each new store meets the company’s operational, aesthetic, and performance standards before launch and executes a seamless handover for day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities & Key Result Areas (KRAs):

1. Store Condition and Branding Visibility

  • Task: Inspect site conditions and display readiness.

2. Interior Work Monitoring

  • Task: Track interior progress (flooring, wiring, lighting).

3. Rack Installation & Layout

  • Task: Confirm rack availability and placement.

4. Branding Work Approval

  • Task: Supervise all branding activities.

5. Vendor Management for Branding Materials

  • Task: Shortlist vendors for 3D boards, signage.

6. Market Analysis for Local Products

  • Task: Analyze local product availability and pricing.

7. Stock Availability & Procurement

  • Task: Confirm stock source (Delhi warehouse vs. local).

8. Vendor Payment Process

  • Task: Process local vendor payments using correct formats.

9. Goods Receipt Note (GRN) & Display

  • Task: Complete GRN and manage in-store product display.

10. Outside Marketing Activities

  • Task: Plan and coordinate external promotions (e-rickshaws, hoardings, etc.).

11. Opening Date Coordination

  • Task: Confirm and align on store opening date with HOD.

12. Coordination with HR for Staffing

  • Task: Collaborate on staffing plan and execution.

13. Staff Documentation & Training

  • Task: Oversee onboarding and role-specific training.

14. Uniforms & Store Materials Distribution

  • Task: Ensure timely receipt of T-shirts, stickers, danglers.

15. Store Decoration

  • Task: Implement store decor in Red & White theme.

16. Video Coverage of Store Opening

  • Task: Coordinate opening day videography.

17. Social Media & Customer Feedback

  • Task: Capture reels, photos, and feedback videos.

18. Post-Opening Review

  • Task: Conduct review meeting after 3 days.



Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Graduate in Business, Retail Management, or related field.

  • Experience: 2–4 years in retail operations, store expansion, or project coordination.

  • Skills: Strong coordination, vendor negotiation, problem-solving, and reporting.

  • Tools: MS Excel, Google Drive, WhatsApp for daily updates, project tracking tools.
