Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Sales Engineer / Sales Manager for our packaging machinery business in Chennai and Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial sales, technical sales, packaging machinery, end-of-line packaging solutions, or industrial equipment.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, recommending suitable machinery and consumables, generating new business opportunities, managing sales leads, and providing technical support throughout the sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand customer packaging requirements and recommend suitable end-of-line packaging machines and consumables.

• Conduct technical sales presentations, product demonstrations, and customer trials.

• Handle customer inquiries and provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.

• Generate and qualify leads and develop new business opportunities.

• Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and support deal closure.

• Maintain accurate sales pipeline, customer records, and follow-up activities.

• Visit customer locations for meetings, product demonstrations, trials, and technical discussions.

• Coordinate with internal teams for timely delivery, installation support, and customer satisfaction.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

• Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.

• Manage multiple customer engagements and sales opportunities efficiently.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Technical Sales, Industrial Sales, or Machinery Sales.

• Strong understanding of technical products and machinery specifications.

• Experience in packaging machinery, industrial equipment, manufacturing, or related sectors will be preferred.

• Good communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer-handling skills.

• Ability to understand technical requirements and convert them into practical solutions.

• Experience in lead generation, opportunity qualification, negotiation, and sales closure.

• Graduate or Diploma/Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

• Basic knowledge of MS Excel, email, CRM tools, and sales documentation.

• Willingness to travel to customer locations as required.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple sales opportunities.
