Job Description

Responsibilites-

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team at Mercury Pneumatics. This role involves acquiring new clients and driving business growth, building relationships with customers, and achieving sales targets. Identifying leads, pitching products or services, and ensuring client satisfaction will be the main responsibility. The position offers an in-hand salary of ₹40000 - ₹40000 along with performance-based incentives and opportunities for career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage in new business opportunities through various channels.

  • Present, promote, and sell products or services to potential customers effectively.

  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and industry trends.

  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring smooth execution of the sales process.

  • Prepare engaging presentations to highlight product benefits.

  • Maintain a record of sales activities and ensure timely follow-ups.

Job Requirements:

The minimum qualification for this role is Diploma and 3 - 5 years of experience. Strong communication skills, customer-centric approach, and ability to close deals are important for this profile. Proficiency in Lead Generation, Convincing Skills is an added advantage.


 

 

 

 

Tasks & Activities

 

 

 

 

1.       Manage and Grow existing customer ticket size:

-          To continue keeping up the customer experience with our brand as well as to evaluate and suggest new products or upgrades thereby increasing the ticket size / offtake of the customer every year

 

2.       To attend to enquiries:

-          To attend to enquiries received from customers, discuss their requirements and applications and to quote for the same or forward it to the correct distribution channel

-          If forwarded to a distribution channel, he should monitor it till a quote is sent and then keep following up with the channel partner until the enquiry is concluded

 

3.       To generate Leads:

-          He is responsible for identifying potential users of our products in his territory and generating leads and updating the same in our lead tracking system  

 

4.       To Convert Leads:

-          He is responsible for contacting the leads, meeting with them, understanding the applications, suggesting suitable products, sending quotes , negotiating and following up with the customer till conclusion of the enquiry

 

5.       To send reports as per formats provided:

-          To update our CRM with weekly visit plans as well as feed in the sales logs after visits

-          To add new leads as well as update existing leads in our lead tracking system

-          To send weekly report as per format provided

-          To provide whatever data the head office asks related to sales activities done by him

 

 

6.       To coordinate with associates and channel partners

-          In situations wherein the sales has to take place through channel partners but the enquiry was received / generated by us , in such cases he is responsible for overseeing that the channel partner contacts the customer in time , meets and understands the requirement, channel partners send a quote and follows up on the quote . basically he has to oversee that the channel partners handled each stage of the sales process properly till conclusion and he should follow up with them to ensure it is done .

 

7.       Long term plan :

-          Once he builds and maintains the business successfully in his region for a minimum period of 3 years as per our expectations, he can than be promoted to a managerial position to oversee , assist , train and manage anew sales engineers under him
