Sales Engineer – Vacuum Pump & Water Pump

Locations: Noida, Gurgaon/Manesar & Hyderabad
Department: Sales & Business Development
Experience: 1–5 years preferred
Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical or relevant engineering field

Job Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities for vacuum pumps and water pumps.

• Identify potential customers, industries, projects and applications.

• Conduct regular customer visits and develop strong relationships with plant heads, maintenance teams, purchase teams and consultants.

• Understand customer applications and recommend suitable pump solutions.

• Generate enquiries and prepare technical/commercial quotations.

• Follow up on quotations and convert enquiries into orders.

• Handle complete sales cycle from lead generation → enquiry → quotation → negotiation → order → payment collection.

• Prepare and maintain daily visit plans, customer reports, opportunities and sales pipeline.

• Develop new dealers/distributors and maintain existing customer relationships.

• Coordinate with technical, service and internal sales teams for installation, commissioning and after-sales support.

• Track competitor activities, market pricing and new business opportunities.

• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.

• Ensure timely payment follow-up for orders/invoices.

• Handle project-based sales and provide regular management updates.

Key Skills

• Good technical understanding of vacuum pumps, water pumps and pumping applications.

• Strong communication, negotiation and customer-handling skills.

• Ability to generate business independently through field sales.

• Good knowledge of industrial markets and B2B sales.

• Ability to prepare quotations, presentations and sales reports.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

• Target-oriented and result-driven approach.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in industrial pumps, vacuum pumps, water pumps, compressors, industrial equipment, rotating equipment or engineering products will be preferred.
