Job Description – Application cum Sales Engineer (Mechanical & Hydraulic Gear Fixturing)
Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Application cum Sales Engineer to join our team at Dinanath Precision Clampings. The role involves a combination of technical application engineering and sales responsibilities, focusing on mechanical & hydraulic gear fixturing solutions for automotive, aerospace, machine tool, and precision manufacturing industries. The ideal candidate should possess a strong mechanical engineering background with excellent communication and business development skills.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Application Support
Understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions in mechanical fixturing and work-holding systems.
Prepare concepts, 2D/3D designs, and technical proposals in collaboration with the design team.
Conduct feasibility studies and suggest optimized fixturing solutions for machining, inspection, and assembly applications.
Provide on-site installation, commissioning, and training support to customers.
Sales & Business Development
Identify new business opportunities and generate leads in target industries (automotive, aerospace, heavy engineering, etc.).
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and commercial offers.
Negotiate contracts, close deals, and achieve assigned sales targets.
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Cross-functional Coordination
Work closely with the design, production, and service teams to ensure seamless execution of customer orders.
Act as the technical bridge between customers and internal teams.
Provide market insights and feedback to management for product improvement and strategy.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
Experience: 2–6 years of experience in application engineering, sales, or business development in machine tools, fixtures, tooling, or precision engineering domain.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of mechanical fixturing, work-holding systems, machining processes.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Sales Skills:
Ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
Goal-oriented with a proven track record in sales target achievement.
Other: Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites.
