Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.

  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to refine sales plans.

  • Forecast sales and plan budgets for retail & project sales.

2. Team Leadership & Management

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team (Retail Executives, B2B Sales, and Corporate Sales).

  • Define targets, KRAs, and conduct periodic performance reviews.

  • Conduct training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales skills.

3. Retail Store Sales

  • Oversee daily sales operations.

  • Ensure high store conversion rates and excellent customer experience.

  • Monitor store performance, visual merchandising, and product display standards.

 

 

4. B2B / Project Sales – Furniture Manufacturing

  • Drive institutional, architect, designer, and corporate sales.

  • Build strong business relationships with channel partners and key accounts.

  • Handle large project quotations, negotiations, and closures.

5. Client Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and ensure repeat business.

  • Address client feedback, queries, and escalations.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.

6. Operations & Coordination

  • Work closely with production, design, and installation teams to ensure timely project execution.

  • Coordinate with marketing for promotions, campaigns, and product launches.

  • Monitor order processing, delivery timelines, and service quality.

7. Reporting & Analysis

  • Maintain detailed MIS reports for sales performance.

  • Present business updates and improvement plans to management.

  • Track sales KPIs and ensure corrective actions where needed.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

  • Proven track record in retail sales and B2B project sales.

  • Good understanding of the furniture industry, materials, finishes, and product costing.

  • Analytical mind-set with ability to interpret sales data and market trends.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Marketing / related field.

  • MBA preferred.

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in retail / furniture / interior industry sales, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
