Regional Sales Manager - Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve Sales Targets: Meet and exceed regional sales and revenue goals set by the company.
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, manage, and motivate a team of Area Sales Managers/Sales Executives across the region.
Business Development: Identify and onboard new clients, distributors, and channel partners. Strengthen relationships with existing key accounts.
Market Analysis: Monitor regional market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer preferences to identify opportunities.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute regional sales plans and go-to-market strategies in alignment with company objectives.
Reporting & Forecasting: Prepare accurate weekly/monthly sales reports, forecasts, and MIS for senior management.
Customer Relationship Management: Handle key accounts, resolve escalated customer issues, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Budget Management: Manage regional sales budget, expenses, and ensure maximum ROI on sales activities.
Coordination: Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications & Skills Required:Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA in Sales & Marketing preferred.
Experience: 5-8 years of progressive sales experience with at least 2-3 years in a team-handling role.
Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel and CRM software like Salesforce.
Other: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region. Knowledge of regional language is a plus.
Compensation: Typically ranges from 20k to 40k+ performance incentives, depending on industry and experience.
