The Rental Team Member facilitates the rental process, ensures excellent customer service, and maximizes rental revenue. This role involves interacting directly with customers, managing rental agreements, coordinating the availability of rental items, and ensuring the smooth operation of the rental process from inquiry to return.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly and professionally, both in person and over the phone.
Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate rental options.
Provide accurate information about rental products, pricing, terms, and conditions.
Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints efficiently and courteously.
Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
Rental Operations:
Process rental applications and agreements accurately and efficiently.
Explain rental terms, conditions, and payment procedures to customers.
Coordinate the preparation and availability of rental items for customer pickup or delivery.
Inspect rental items for damages before and after rental periods.
Manage the check-in and check-out process, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
Maintain organized rental records and documentation.
Assist with inventory management and tracking of rental equipment/units.
Schedule and coordinate deliveries and pickups of rental items as needed.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Actively promote available rental options and services.
Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional rental items or services.
Meet or exceed sales targets or performance metrics, if applicable.
Follow up with potential customers to secure rentals.
Administrative Tasks:
Process payments and handle cash or credit card transactions accurately.
Generate invoices and rental contracts.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Assist with general office duties as required.
Compliance and Safety:
Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to rentals.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines.
Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Teamwork:
