Operation Manager

We are looking for a Operation Manager to join our team at Talent Corner Hr Services Private Limited. The Unit Manager – Operations is responsible for end-to-end management of the oxygen manufacturing unit- Ahmedabad, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations while meeting production targets, quality standards, and cost objectives. The position offers an in-hand salary of ₹45,000 - ₹50,000 and opportunities for career growth.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

• Develop and execute local sales strategies for medical and industrial oxygen.

• Identify new customers including hospitals, industries, and institutional buyers.

• Maintain strong relationships with hospitals, distributors, and bulk oxygen customers.

• Coordinate with the sales team for tender participation, quotations, and contract execution.

• Monitor market demand, competitor activities, and pricing trends.

• Ensure timely order fulfilment by aligning production and dispatch with customer requirements.

• Support government, hospital, and institutional tender processes.

• Achieve unit-level sales targets and contribute to revenue growth.

Operations & Production

• Oversee daily plant operations, including oxygen filling, storage, and dispatch

• Ensure maximum plant uptime and optimal utilization of resources

• Plan and monitor production schedules to meet customer and regulatory demand

• Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to PESO, Factory Act, ISO, GPCB, F&D, and other statutory regulations

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, safety drills, and risk assessments

• Maintain documentation for audits, inspections, and certifications

Quality Control

• Ensure product quality as per medical/industrial oxygen standards

• Monitor purity levels, cylinder testing, calibration, and quality records

• Handle non-conformance and corrective/preventive actions

Team Management

• Lead, train, and motivate plant operators, supervisors, and technicians

• Manage manpower planning, shifts, performance evaluation, and discipline

• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement

Inventory & Logistics

• Manage raw materials, cylinders, spares, and consumables inventory

• Coordinate with logistics for timely dispatch and cylinder turnaround

• Minimise losses, leakages, and operational wastage

Cost & Performance Management

• Control operational costs and improve efficiency

• Prepare MIS reports on production, safety, downtime, and costs

• Support management in budgeting and operational planning

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of oxygen plant operations (ASU/PSA/VPSA)

• Understanding of statutory and safety regulations

• Leadership and people-management skills

• Problem-solving and decision-making ability

• Good communication and reporting skills

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Any Stream, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.

• 8–15 years of experience in industrial or medical gas plant operations.

• Familiarity with government and institutional tender processes is an advantage.

• It is a Full Time Sales / Business Development job for candidates with 6+ years of experience.
