Key responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, focusing on opportunities within the supply chain and logistics sector.
Client and Vendor Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, suppliers, and vendors to secure and grow business.
Business Development:
Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities through market research and analysis of trends and competitor activities.
Internal Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams such as operations, logistics, and procurement to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Performance Management:
Track, analyse, and report on sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to meet goals.
Negotiation:
Negotiate and close high-value sales deals, as well as negotiate contracts with suppliers and shipping companies to secure favorable terms.
Forecasting and Analysis:
Analyze sales data and market trends to forecast demand and inform sales strategy, working to optimize stock levels and reduce costs.
Qualifications and skills
Education:
Any bachelor's degree, MBA in Marketing/ PGDBM in Sales/Marketing.
Experience:
A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a sales role is not mandatory, but preferably with a background in logistics, supply chain, or a related industry.
Skills:
Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies.
Strong leadership and team management skills to guide a sales team.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferably with CRM and other sales management software.
