Job Role: The Key Accounts Manager (KAM) is responsible for owning and growing strategic customer accounts within the packaging and manufacturing sector. This role serves as the single point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional relationship management, business growth, and operational excellence. The KAM aligns customer objectives with company goals through proactive account planning, demand forecasting, and seamless cross-functional coordination with production, logistics, and quality teams. The role drives profitability, reliability, and customer satisfaction while expanding the company’s market share through upselling, cross-selling, and value-based solutions.
Principal Responsibilities
•Client Relationship Management:
•Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients.
•Act as the primary liaison between the customer and internal teams.
•Understand client requirements, expectations, and business challenges to deliver tailored solutions.
Order & Project Management:
•Oversee the end-to-end management of customer orders and projects to ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery.
•Coordinate closely with production, supply chain, and quality teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Internal Coordination:
•Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth order execution.
•Ensure alignment between sales, operations, and finance departments to meet customer commitments.
Reporting & Analysis:
•Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions.
•Generate periodic reports and analyses to track account performance and identify growth opportunities.
Market & Product Planning:
•Monitor market trends and customer needs to align product offerings.
•Provide insights for product development and innovation based on client feedback and industry dynamics.
Continuous Improvement:
•Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
•Gather customer feedback to drive service and process enhancements.
Principal Authorities
•Approve and negotiate commercial terms and pricing with customers in line with company policies.
•Provide sales forecasts and inventory requirements to support production planning.
•Ensure a superior customer experience by addressing and resolving client concerns promptly.
