Insurance Advisor

The Bima Sakhi is a specially trained woman insurance advisor under LIC’s women empowerment initiative. She plays a pivotal role in promoting financial literacy, insurance awareness, and financial protection for women and families, especially in rural and semi-urban areas. Bima Sakhis work as a bridge between LIC and the local community to ensure wider insurance penetration and social security.
Key Responsibilities:

• Promote LIC insurance products tailored for families, women, and rural populations.

• Educate women about the importance of life insurance, savings, and financial planning.

• Generate leads through community networking, SHGs (Self Help Groups), Anganwadi centers, local gatherings, and door-to-door interactions.

• Assist policyholders in filling out proposal forms, premium payments, and claim processing.

• Provide after-sales services such as premium reminders, policy servicing, and maturity follow-ups.

• Organize insurance awareness camps and financial literacy sessions in the community.

• Maintain regular contact with LIC Development Officer and attend training sessions as required.

• It is a Part Time Sales / Business Development job for candidates with 0 - 5 years of experience.
