Hospital Insurance Coordinator (Onsite at Client Hospital)
Job Summary
The Hospital Insurance Coordinator will be stationed at the client hospital and will be responsible for handling insurance-related tasks, medical billing processes, and patient/insurance queries. The candidate will ensure seamless insurance workflows, resolve billing or claim issues including rejections, and act as the primary point of contact for insurance, hospital, and patient-related inquiries. Proficiency in Kannada & English and strong communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Process and verify patient insurance claims and medical bills as per hospital and insurance standards.
Review claimed services, identify and resolve insurance rejections or denials with appropriate follow-up action.
Liaise with insurance companies, hospital billing staff, and patients to clarify claim status and policy coverage.
Respond promptly and professionally to all queries from the hospital, insurance companies, or patients with effective solutions.
Maintain up-to-date records and documentation of all insurance-related transactions.
Educate patients and hospital staff on insurance process, required documents, and claim lifecycle.
Ensure all insurance billing and correspondence are completed accurately and within timelines.
Provide regular updates to hospital administration regarding claim outcomes, trends, and follow-up status.
Required Skills & Qualifications
2+ years’ experience in health insurance coordination, medical billing, or a similar administrative role in healthcare.
In-depth knowledge of health insurance practices, billing processes, and relevant terminology.
Must be fluent in Kannada and able to communicate clearly with patients, staff, and insurance providers.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple queries, and ensure all issues are addressed promptly.
Basic computer skills for managing claim forms, emails, and reports.
