Role Overview
An Inside Sales Representative in the IT services industry is responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting technology solutions, generating qualified leads, and engaging with B2B clients. The role involves selling IT services such as software solutions, SaaS products, cloud services, or digital transformation offerings through remote channels, using CRM tools and consultative selling approaches.

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
• Conduct outbound prospecting through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms
• Identify and qualify potential clients in target industries (B2B focus)
• Generate opportunities for IT services such as SaaS, cloud or enterprise solutions
• Follow up on marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) and convert them into sales opportunities

2. Client Engagement & Solution Selling
• Understand client business challenges and propose relevant IT solutions
• Conduct discovery calls to assess technical and business requirements
• Provide consultative selling rather than product-based selling

3. Sales Presentations & Product Demonstrations
• Deliver product demos and solution walkthroughs for IT services
• Explain value propositions, ROI, and technical advantages of offerings
• Collaborate with pre-sales/technical teams for customized demos
• Handle technical queries at a high level

4. Pipeline Management & CRM Usage
• Manage and maintain a healthy sales pipeline in CRM tools
• Track leads, opportunities, and deal stages
• Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting

5. Collaboration with Internal Teams
• Work closely with marketing, pre-sales, and delivery teams
• Align sales strategies with product capabilities and service offerings
• Participate in campaigns, webinars, and lead generation initiatives

6. Negotiation & Deal Closure
• Handle pricing discussions for IT services and subscription models
• Structure deals based on client requirements
• Close deals while ensuring contractual and compliance alignment

7. Market & Industry Awareness
• Stay updated on IT industry trends (cloud, cybersecurity, SaaS, etc.)
• Monitor competitor offerings and market positioning
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities

Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Skills
• Strong communication and business presentation skills
• Knowledge of IT services / SaaS / software solutions
• Understanding of sales funnel, pipeline, and conversion metrics
• Experience with CRM tools
• Ability to explain technical concepts in simple business terms

Experience
• 1–3 years of experience in Inside Sales / IT Sales / SaaS Sales
