Education Counsellor

Key Responsibilities: • Provide academic advising to current and prospective students regarding program requirements, course selection, credit transfer, and graduation planning. • Monitor academic progress and performance, identifying students at risk and providing proactive support and intervention. • Assist students in understanding institutional policies, procedures, and resources available to them. • Collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to support student engagement and academic success. • Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines. • Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and one-on-one counselling to support student transition and retention. • Support student registration and resolve scheduling issues as needed. • Refer students to appropriate support services such as tutoring, career services, or mental health counselling when necessary. • Stay updated with academic trends, curriculum changes, and institutional updates relevant to student advising. • Collect and analyse data to improve advising practices and student outcomes.
