The role is critical to maintaining smooth store operations in a 24×7 convenience retail environment.---Key Responsibilities:1. Sales & Customer ServiceGreet customers warmly and assist them with product selectionDrive upselling and cross-selling (combos, offers, add-on items, fresh food & beverages)Promote in-store offers, new launches, and loyalty programsEnsure quick and courteous service, especially during peak hoursHandle customer queries, feedback, and complaints professionally---2. Billing & POS OperationsOperate POS system accurately for billing and payments (cash, UPI, cards, wallets)Ensure zero billing errors and proper invoice handlingManage cash drawer, shift-wise cash tally, and handover proceduresFollow company SOPs for refunds, void bills, and discounts---3. Visual Merchandising (VM)Maintain attractive product displays as per brand VM guidelinesEnsure correct product placement, pricing labels, and signageKeep shelves clean, organized, and fully stockedHighlight impulse-buy and high-margin products near billing counters---4. Stock Management & ReceivingReceive stock from vendors and warehouse as per delivery challansCheck quantity, quality, expiry dates, and damages during receivingUpdate stock entries in system/manual registersEnsure FIFO (First In First Out) for perishable and FMCG itemsAssist in periodic stock counts and audits---5. Store Operations & HygieneMaintain store cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standardsEnsure food handling SOPs are followed (if fresh food / café counter is present)Monitor product expiry, damages, and near-expiry markdownsSupport opening and closing store procedures---6.
