Lighthouse Communities Foundation works in the area of skilling and livelihoods for underserved youth. This is a pioneering program with a strong PPP model, an agency-led approach to livelihoods, and a vision of socio-economic transformation. The Lighthouses are run through a public-private partnership that empowers the
Government, Corporations, NGOs, and Citizens to work together towards changing lives. The provision of location and capital expenditure for the Lighthouse centres is taken care of by the Government. Corporates contribute through CSR funds to provide operational expenses. NGOs come on board to provide various skilling courses to
the youth. With penetration in more than 400 of the 500-odd slum communities of Pune, the program has now expanded to other cities viz. PCMC, Dombivli, Aurangabad and also States viz. Delhi, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Hyderabad.

About the role:
The Community Engagement Executive plays a critical role in driving community mobilization, youth enrollment, and sustained engagement at the Lighthouse Centre. This role combines grassroots relationship-building, data discipline, event planning, and centre-level coordination to ensure strong enrolment, retention, and placement
outcomes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with communities, building trust, and driving youth participation in transformational programs. If you are passionate about community transformation and enjoy
working on measurable impact goals, this role is for you.
Your role in supporting the Organisational goals:
1. Community Mobilisation & Enrolment
● Mobilise eligible youth into the Foundation Course and skilling programs.
● Ensure appropriate enrolment aligned with program objectives.
2. Community & Parent Engagement
● Develop strong relationships with families and community members.
● Build networks with local NGOs and community groups to expand outreach.
3. Outreach & Engagement Activities
● Plan and execute innovative community outreach events. Create engaging and welcoming experiences that attract youth to the Lighthouse Centre.
4. Data & Coordination
● Maintain timely and accurate updates of outreach dashboards, master sheets, and mapping tools.
● Coordinate closely with the Centre Head and the central team.
● Support overall centre management and placement-related efforts.
5. Student Leadership Development
● Mentor students to become Lighthouse leaders and role models within their communities.
● Support youth in pursuing meaningful career pathways.
Preferred Skill sets, Years of Experience, and Professional Background:
● Graduate/Postgraduate (MSW preferred)
● 2+ years of Experience in community mobilization, youth engagement, or grassroots development
● Strong community engagement and relationship-building skills.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities (local language proficiency preferred).
● Experience in outreach, mobilization, or field-based roles.
● Event planning and execution capabilities.
● Strong data management skills (MS Excel/Google Sheets).
● Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
● Interest or experience in mentoring and youth development.
● Problem-solving mindset with adaptability to field challenges.
● Passion for social impact and achieving measurable outcomes.
● Willing to travel locally
