Business Development Manager

Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team in the event management industry.

The role involves managing existing clients, understanding their event requirements, coordinating with internal teams, and building strong client relationships. The candidate will also be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating leads, developing new client relationships, and converting opportunities into business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.

• Understand client requirements and provide suitable event solutions.

• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of events.

• Handle client communication, follow-ups, meetings, and presentations.

• Identify and generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling, LinkedIn, email, and other channels.

• Research potential clients and maintain a database of prospects.

• Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and event packages to clients.

• Follow up with prospective clients and convert leads into confirmed business.

• Negotiate with clients while maintaining company pricing and commercial guidelines.

• Track leads, opportunities, follow-ups, and business conversions.

• Ensure timely communication with clients throughout the event lifecycle.

• Work closely with the operations and event execution teams to ensure client expectations are met.

• Achieve assigned business development and revenue targets.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, business development, client servicing, or event management.

• Experience in the event management industry will be preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Good negotiation and presentation skills.

• Confident in dealing with clients and business decision-makers.

• Strong follow-up and relationship-building abilities.

• Ability to generate leads and convert them into business.

• Good understanding of sales and business development processes.

• Comfortable working in a target-driven environment.

• Good knowledge of MS Office, Excel, email, and basic CRM tools.

• Willingness to attend client meetings and travel when required.
