Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager with a strong background in finance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a deep understanding of corporate finance and the ability to independently manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Acumen: You should have a strong knowledge of finance, including the ability to understand balance sheets, analyze key financial ratios, and interpret financial statements. This is crucial for effectively advising clients on their capital needs.

  • Independent Pitching: Pitch our financial solutions to potential clients independently, showcasing how our services can meet their specific business requirements.

  • Target Achievement: Confidently meet and exceed monthly business development targets.

  • Client Management: Visit clients as required to build rapport, conduct needs assessments, and independently close deals.

  • Business Generation: Generate new leads through networking, market research, and a strategic approach to client acquisition.

  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, understanding their evolving financial needs and providing ongoing support.

  • Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new business opportunities.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, sales pipelines, and target achievements.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent qualification is a plus.

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role within the financial services industry.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • A high degree of confidence and a strong commitment to achieving targets.

  • Knowledge of the corporate finance landscape, including debt syndication, private equity, and venture capital.
