1. Role Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities for IT solutions in Healthcare (Hospitals) and Manufacturing industries.
The BDM must understand each sector’s workflow, operational stages, pain points, and connect them with the company’s software/IT solutions.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Business Development & Sales
Generate leads and build a strong sales pipeline in hospital and manufacturing segments
Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and strategic alliances
Conduct client meetings, presentations, product demos
Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial agreements
Lead the end-to-end sales cycle—from lead generation to deal closing
Achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets

C. Technical & Product Understanding
Understand company’s IT products (ERP, HIS, CRM, Cloud, SaaS, Mobile Apps, IoT, BI tools)
Ability to map client requirements to technical solutions
Work closely with pre-sales and technical teams
Prepare solution documents, RFP responses, and SOWs
D. Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong corporate relationships
Understand client pain points, business goals, and challenges
Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business
Manage key accounts in hospital and manufacturing sectors
E. Market Research
Study market trends, competitor products, pricing, and strategies
Identify industry needs and emerging technology opportunities
Provide management with regular feedback and sales reports
F. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain CRM updates, pipeline reports, and sales activity logs
Prepare weekly/monthly sales forecasts
Share demo reports, meeting minutes, and client feedback
