Role Overview:
We are looking for a sharp, self-driven Business Development Manager – Advisor Acquisition - Marketplace to own end-to-end advisor lifecycle management - from identifying different partnership streams and onboarding new advisors to ensuring they remain engaged, productive, and retained.
This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role - You will be the single point of accountability for advisor supply health, and are expected to bring onboarding chase, data discipline, scalable systems and people skills together to build a thriving advisor community.
Key Responsibilities
Advisor Supply & Onboarding Advisor Experience Ownership
Drive end-to-end advisor acquisition - sourcing from different forums, managing the complete screening process, ensure onboarding of the advisor, and activation
Maintain a consistent pipeline to onboard advisors as per Demand targets.
Ensure Supply ≥ Demand at all times; proactively close supply gaps before they impact business
Advisor Engagement & Retention
Drive Advisor NPS through proactive relationship management, feedback loops, and timely resolution
Maintain advisor retention rate; conduct regular touchpoints and engagement initiatives
Demand-Supply Management
Continuously monitor supply-demand ratio and advisor quota utilisation
Flag and resolve demand-supply imbalances proactively and cross-functionally
Revenue & Recovery
Handle Advisor Relationships to ensure revenue & recovery from advisors is not compromised by building relationship with Advisors and work on their onboarding.
Field Engagement & Partnership Building
Proactively visit advisors in person to build meaningful, trust-based relationships that go beyond transactional interactions
Identify partnership opportunities with high-performing advisors, regional managers, branch managers to co-create growth - through referral networks, community influence, and collaborative outreach
Requirements
Candidates with 2-5 years of experience in Insurance Agency Channel Development or Community Building will be preferred.
On-site role in Vikhroli, Mumbai (remote candidates will not be considered).
Strong interest in sales, systems & relationships.
Ability to think in problem statements, workflows, and root causes, not just execution.
Experience managing a distributed field force, advisor network, or franchise partner ecosystem will be preferred.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
High ownership, proactive attitude, and comfort operating in ambiguity.
