Job Title: Business Development Executive – Tenders & GeM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue business opportunities through Government e-Marketplace (GeM), e-tender portals, and other procurement platforms.

  • Monitor and track tenders/RFPs/EOIs relevant to the company’s products/services across multiple government departments and agencies.

  • Prepare and submit bids/tender documents in coordination with internal teams, ensuring compliance with technical and commercial requirements.

  • Regularly update company profiles, product listings, pricing, and documentation on the GeM portal.

  • Develop strong relationships with government clients and procurement officers.

  • Maintain and manage a tender database and submission tracker.

  • Ensure timely renewals of certifications, registrations, and licenses required for tender participation.

  • Follow up on submitted bids and coordinate for clarifications, presentations, or negotiation meetings if required.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (technical, finance, legal) to gather documentation and support needed for bidding.

  • Generate regular reports on tender status, success ratios, and market intelligence.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience working on GeM portal and e-tendering processes.

  • Strong understanding of government procurement procedures and documentation.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail, ability to work under tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and online tendering tools.

  • Self-motivated with a result-oriented approach.


Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with specific government departments (central/state) and their procurement trends.

  • Knowledge of digital signatures, online bid submission protocols.

  • Experience in sectors such as facility management, security services, manpower outsourcing, or technical services (adjust based on your domain).


Salary: as per Market
