Position Overview

EducationWorld is looking for an energetic, ambitious, and detail-oriented Business Development Executive to support the growth of its flagship Rankings, Awards, Conferences, and Events portfolio. This role is ideal for fresh graduates who are keen to build a career in business development, client engagement, sales, and event management.

The candidate must possess strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management, reporting, and stakeholder tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development Support

  • Identify and reach out to prospective schools, colleges, universities, education companies, and corporate partners.

  • Generate leads and schedule meetings for senior business development managers.

  • Assist in sponsorship sales and partnership development for EducationWorld events and properties.

  • Maintain and update prospect databases and sales pipelines.

Rankings & Awards Coordination

  • Support the execution of EducationWorld's flagship rankings and awards initiatives.

  • Coordinate with educational institutions regarding participation, nominations, and data submissions.

  • Track participation and maintain accurate records using Microsoft Excel.

  • Follow up with institutions to ensure timely completion of processes.

Client Engagement

  • Build and maintain professional relationships with school leaders, university administrators, and education stakeholders.

  • Handle client queries and provide timely support throughout the engagement cycle.

  • Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and partnership documents.

Event & Conference Support

  • Assist in the planning and execution of conferences, awards ceremonies, and leadership summits.

  • Coordinate with speakers, sponsors, delegates, and participating institutions.

  • Support sponsorship fulfilment and post-event reporting.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed MIS reports, business trackers, participation reports, and revenue dashboards.

  • Analyze data and generate reports using Microsoft Excel.

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of client and institutional databases.

  • Support management with periodic business and performance reports.

Required Skills

Mandatory

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:

    • Advanced formulas and functions

    • Pivot Tables

    • VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

    • Data validation and data cleaning

    • Charts and dashboards

    • Report generation and MIS preparation

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Good interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work under deadlines.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of PowerPoint and business presentations.

  • Interest in sales, business development, events, or the education sector.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate in any discipline (B.Com, BBA, BBM, BA, B.Sc., or equivalent).
