Role Overview : The Business Development Manager will be responsible for primary and secondary sales in the assigned market, including product supply, order execution, and payment collection.
This is a core FMCG field role requiring daily market visits, retailer coordination, and strict accountability of stock and payments.
Key Responsibilities - Sales & Market Execution Visit assigned market/beat daily and generate orders from retailers
Supply company products to retailers as per order
Achieve assigned monthly sales targets
Ensure proper product placement and visibility at retail outlets
Open new retail outlets and expand market coverage
Payment Collection (Critical Responsibility)Collect payments from buyers/retailers at the time of supply or as per credit terms
Ensure 100% payment recovery within approved timelines
Deposit collected cash/cheques/UPI payments as per company policy
Maintain accurate records of billing, outstanding, and collections
Stock & Product Responsibility: Sole responsibility for products issued/supplied
Ensure no loss, damage, shortage, or unauthorized sales
Handle products carefully during transport and delivery
Coordinate with distributor/warehouse for stock replenishment
Reporting & Coordination: Maintain daily sales and collection reports
Share market feedback, competitor activity, and retailer requirements
Coordinate with distributor and internal sales team
Follow company SOPs, pricing, schemes, and discipline strictly
Candidate Profile: Mandatory Requirements Experience: 0–3 years in FMCG field sales (Tea / Food / Beverage preferred)
Ready for hardcore field work
Comfortable with sales + payment collection responsibility
Strong local market knowledge (retail FMCG network)
Honest, disciplined, and accountable personality
Skills Required: Good communication & convincing skills
Ability to build retailer relationships
Basic understanding of billing & collections
Able to handle pressure and targets
Two-wheeler mandatory
Accountability Clause: Candidate will be fully responsible for products supplied and payments collected
Any shortage, non-recovery, or mismatch due to negligence will be the responsibility of the Field Sales Executive
This role requires high integrity and financial discipline
