Job Description

Core Responsibilities for an Automobile Salesperson

  • Customer Engagement:

    Greet customers, ask qualifying questions to understand their needs and budget, and recommend suitable vehicles from the inventory. 

  • Product Knowledge:

    Provide detailed information on vehicle features, benefits, and accessories, and be able to compare models and explain options. 

  • Demonstrations & Test Drives:

    Arrange and conduct test drives to give customers a hands-on experience with the vehicles. 

  • Negotiation & Closing:

    Negotiate pricing and terms of sale to close deals and finalize transactions. 

  • Paperwork & Financing:

    Assist customers in completing all necessary sales, finance, and legal paperwork accurately and efficiently. 

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting:

    Conduct cold calls and other prospecting activities to generate new leads and expand the customer base. 

  • Customer Service:

    Provide excellent service throughout the sales process and implement follow-up systems to foster customer satisfaction and repeat business. 

  • Market Awareness:

    Stay informed about market trends, competitor offerings, and new product features. 

  • Inventory Management:

    Assist with managing the dealership's vehicle inventory.
