Admission Counsellor

Position Summary

The Preschool Center Head cum Admission Counsellor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the preschool center, ensuring high-quality early childhood education, maintaining compliance with safety and academic standards, and driving admissions growth. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication with parents, and the ability to promote the school’s values and programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Center Operations Management

• Oversee day-to-day functioning of the preschool center.

• Ensure all programs, activities, and teaching methodologies align with the school’s curriculum and quality standards.

• Maintain a safe, hygienic, and stimulating learning environment.

• Monitor staff attendance, scheduling, and classroom management.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and school policies.

2. Academic & Staff Leadership

• Guide teachers in lesson planning, classroom execution, and managing children’s learning needs.

• Conduct regular staff meetings, observations, and training sessions to improve performance and teaching quality.

• Mentor and support teachers in handling classroom challenges and parent communications.

• Coordinate with academic teams for planning events, assessments, and curriculum upgrades.

3. Parent Engagement & Communication

• Serve as the primary point of contact for parents for queries, concerns, and feedback.

• Conduct parent orientation sessions, PTMs, and school events.

• Build strong relationships with parents to ensure satisfaction and retention.

• Address behavioral, developmental, or academic concerns with empathy and professionalism.

4. Admissions & Counselling

• Manage the entire admissions process from inquiry to enrollment.

• Conduct campus tours, counselling sessions, and follow-ups with prospective parents.

• Present the school’s curriculum, facilities, fee structure, and differentiators effectively.

• Maintain admissions reports, inquiry databases, and conversion tracking.

• Collaborate with the marketing team to plan admission campaigns, events, and outreach activities.

5. Administration & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of attendance, fee collection follow-up, child profiles, and documentation.

• Prepare operational reports for management on admissions, enrollment, staff performance, and center activities.

• Oversee inventory management, maintenance requests, and vendor coordination.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in preschool operations, teaching, or admissions counselling.

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

• Leadership qualities with the ability to manage staff and handle parent relationships effectively.

• Knowledge of early childhood development and modern preschool teaching practices.

• Proficiency in MS Office and basic administrative software.

• Warm, child-friendly personality with a passion for early learning.
