Role Summary
- As an Admission Counselor for NMIMS, you will be responsible for converting leads into enrolments for NMIMS’s online MBA and BBA programs.
- Engage with prospective students over phone, email, and digital channels; understand their needs; and counsel them – with the goal of guiding them to select NMIMS’s offerings.
-Be involved in pipeline management, reporting, coordination with university teams, and continuous improvement of the counseling process.
This is a mid-level role (1–3 years of experience required), demanding strong sales acumen, consultative counseling skills, and result orientation.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage prospective students via inbound/outbound calls, WhatsApp, emails, and other channels to counsel them on NMIMS online MBA / BBA programs
- Qualify leads based on eligibility, need, timeline, and readiness
- Fully explain program structure, curriculum, faculty, fee structure, admission process, placement support, ROI, etc.
- Address objections, provide clarity, and build trust
- Maintain regular follow-ups and manage lead nurturing until conversion
- Achieve monthly / quarterly enrolment / revenue targets
- Use and update CRM rigorously (lead status, notes, follow-ups, disposition)
- Generate reports and dashboards to track performance, conversion rates, drop-offs, etc.
- Liaise with NMIMS’s admissions / academic / operations team for documentation, approvals, queries, and escalations
- Suggest process improvements to enhance conversion rates and student experience
- Mentor junior counsellors (if applicable)
Requirements
- Experience: 1–3 years in Admissions Counselling / EdTech / Inside Sales / Education Consulting.
- Education: Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities.
- Target-oriented with a consultative counselling approach.
- Proficient in using CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage time effectively and multitask.
Preferred / Desirable
- Prior experience with NMIMS or other online degree programs
- Understanding of management education landscape in India
- Exposure to digital marketing funnels, lead generation, and data-driven sales
