Academic Counselor – EdTech Sales
Role - Student Counseling & Admissions
Location: HAL Road, Bengaluru
Experience: Minimum 1 year in EdTech sales, academic counseling, or related field
We are looking for a motivated and student-focused Academic Counselor to join our admissions team in Bengaluru. This role involves student counseling, lead conversion, admissions support, and collaboration with internal teams to meet enrollment goals. The structure of this role is aligned with standard Academic Counselor responsibilities
Responsibilities
1. Student Counseling:
- Provide personalized guidance to prospective students regarding academic programs, curriculum, fees, eligibility, and career outcomes.
- Understand student aspirations and recommend suitable courses.
2. Admissions Assistance:
- Support students throughout the admission process including applications, documentation, interviews, and onboarding.
- Ensure a smooth and professional admissions experience.
3. Lead Follow-Up & Conversion:
- Follow up on inquiries and leads via calls, emails, and meetings.
- Convert leads into enrollments through effective communication and relationship building.
4. Presentations & Counseling Sessions:
- Conduct online and in-person counseling sessions and presentations explaining course benefits and career prospects.
5. Data & Record Management:
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions, follow-ups, and enrollment status in CRM systems.
6. Career Guidance:
- Offer insights on certifications, industry trends, and career opportunities to help students make informed decisions.
7. Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing and admissions teams to achieve monthly enrollment targets.
8. Industry Awareness:
- Stay updated on education and industry trends to provide relevant and valuable guidance.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Minimum 6 months experience in EdTech/Educational/School Admission sales, academic counseling, or admissions.
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Target-driven and confident in handling student queries.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Ability to build long-term relationships with students and parents.
